Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an ancient, Chinese medical practice used to promote natural healing. This is done by inserting thin, sterilized, stainless-steel needles into specific points located on the surface of the skin. Each point has a physiological, energetic, and spiritual function, shown to be effective in the treatment of specific health problems. These points have been mapped by the Chinese over a period of 2,000 years, and are located along channels of energy known as meridians. According to Chinese medical theory, illness arises when the cyclical flow of Qi, or energy force in the meridians becomes unbalanced or is blocked. When Qi is unblocked and free flowing, all systems in the body will function at an optimal level.
